Sekhemkhet was an Egyptian pharaoh of the Third Dynasty of Egypt which took place in the period of the Old Kingdom of Egypt. Many believe that Sekhemkhet's reign begun in 2648 BC and lasted until 2640 BC. His birth name is Djoser-tety. He is believe to be the brother or son of the Pharaoh, Djoser. A step pyramid was created in Saqqara by him.
