Scythians were a barbarian people who resided in what today is the Northern Balkan region of southeastern Europe. They were an [Iranian Equestrian] tribe in the central Eurasian steppes starting with the 7th century BC up until the 4th century AD.

Origins Edit

The Scythians first appeared in the historical record in the 8th century BC. Herodotus reported three contradictory versions as to the origins of the Scythians.
