The Iclingas were an Anglo-Saxon dynasty of kings that ruled the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia during 7th and 8th centuries. The house is named after Icel, great-grandson of Offa of Angel, a legendary or semi-legendary figure of the Migration Period who is noted to descend from Woden by Anglo-Saxon royal genealogies.

Offa of Mercia brought the house to it's height of power and took other Anglo-Saxon states. The dynasty lost control of Mercia after Offa's death. Penda became king of Mercia in 626 and was the first king listed in the regnal lists of the Anglian collection. He is also the last pagan king of Mercia.
