Gibraltar is a city-territory that is administered as part of the British Overseas Territories, and located at the southern tip of the Iberian peninsula on the European continent. The United Kingdom retains responsibility for defense and foreign relations. The landscape is dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar at the foot of which is a densely populated town area, home to over 32,000 people, primarily Gibraltarians.


Gibraltar head of state is the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, who is represented by the Governor of Gibraltar. However Gibraltar has almost complete internal self-governance with in own Gibraltar Parliament, with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar elected by the parliament, with only the United Kingdom reasonable for in respect of defence, foreign policy, internal security and general good governance.
